Brenda O'Hara, MD

Dr. Brenda O’Hara has been a family physician for
21 years. She has practiced family medicine in Fort Wayne and in Indianapolis and is a Professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine at Fort Wayne. Dr. O’Hara was CEO of Fort Wayne Medical Education prior to joining Parkview FirstCare. Dr. O’Hara is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine
and did her residency at Fort Wayne Medical Education Program. She has also completed a Fellowship in Academic Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. O’Hara has received numerous awards at the Indiana University School of Medicine including Outstanding Clinical Teacher and IUPUI Outstanding Female Faculty member. While at IU School of Medicine, she authored or co-authored eight articles published in family medicine education journals. She has been selected by Castle-Connolly Company as one of America’s Top Doctors every year for the past five years.
Alex graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Dietetics and Nutrition. She completed an internship program with Andrews University before starting her professional career as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in 2014. Alex loves sharing her knowledge and love of nutrition with others! She strives to create an environment where individuals feel empowered to make real and attainable wellness goals that develop into lifestyle changes. In her free time, Alex enjoys spending time with her husband, Greg, sons, Elison and Mackenzie, and dog, Pippa. You can also find her trying out new recipes, reading, and running. Alex is so excited to be a part of the Parkview and NACS team to help staff meet their health goals!
